A
GLITCH IN TIME
Venue
: Online
Dates
: Launched on 4th December 2004 |
Click
here to launch 'A Glitch In Time'
A few months
after Merely a Stain, Scaremongering.net was all
set to launch another collaborative exhibition.
However, a different approach was taken this time
around. Rather than having an audience reach a physical
setting to experience ‘A Glitch in Time’,
the exhibition was to be made available online.
Revolving around the concept of time it featured
a new item every hour on the hour in a virtual space.
The twelve artists working on the exhibition were
assigned a particular hour of the day and produced
one item for the morning phase and another for the
night phase of that particular hour. The visitor
had the opportunity to look at new material according
to which time of day he/she visits the online exhibition. |

MERELY
A STAIN
Venue
: Bar Karoo, Valletta
Dates
: 30th June - 3rd July 2004 |
Click
here to launch 'Merely A Stain'
Marely a Stain,
our second exhibition, featured 8 local and 2 foreign
artists. It was held at the little known Bar Karoo,
Valletta, and was spread over 3 days. Merely A Stain
encompassed a variety of different art forms, such
as paintings, digital artwork, music, sculpture
and photography. Scaremongering.net created a recognizable
whole by linking everything together by means of
literature. Local music act Spooky Monkey specifically
wrote a soundtrack for the event, which was released
as an album on CD. On the 3rd of July, the exhibiting
space had to be transformed into a 'club' for Rob
Hall (of Skam records fame) to play alongside Owen
Jay and The Chemist. Scaremongering.net members
recall this event as being a breakthrough in the
local art scene and have a lot of good memories
from this period.

chosen was the Common Room next to the KSU office
at the University of Malta. A variety of photography,
